Public Relations Manager

Jairo is a versatile public relations professional with a proven ability to develop comprehensive communications plans that are integrated, strategic and innovative. Jairo leads all of Bouchard’s public relations initiatives, including multi-market publicity efforts for national brands such as Oakley, HomeTeam Pest Defense, and Black Bear Diner.

Prior to joining Bouchard, Jairo led several high-profile public relations campaigns for various government clients. He was instrumental in the development of Roseville Electric’s Strategic Communications Plan, managed the City of Fresno’s national publicity campaign, helped develop and execute a crisis communications plan related to three Caltrans worker deaths, and also earned an appointment by then-Governor Schwarzenegger to manage, implement and coordinate all communications activities related to the service and volunteering sector in California. He also helped devise and manage the public relations strategy for first lady Maria Shriver’s disaster preparedness campaign.

Jairo is the past president of the Sacramento Public Relations Association, and his work has garnered numerous industry awards.

Education: Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis.
